Program Objectives

The AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification program is designed to
validate the skills and knowledge required to design and deploy applications on AWS. The
program objectives include:

• Designing highly available, cost-effective, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems on AWS.
• Selecting appropriate AWS services based on data, compute, database, or security
  requirements.
• Identifying the appropriate use of AWS architectural best practices and design patterns.
  Migrating existing on-premises applications to AWS.
• Estimating AWS costs and identifying cost-control measures.
• Understanding security features and tools provided by AWS and implementing security
  controls.
• Applying best practices for deploying applications on AWS, including continuous
  integration and deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.
